Meet our Guest Designers

I was waiting for all the rush of our launch to be over so that I can aaram sey introduce our Guest Designers of the month Sasha Farina and Ujjwal Gupta.

Sasha, mother of two beautiful girls, is a talented scrapbooker from Singapore. She designs for biggies like Crate Paper, Lil Bee Designs and Chic Tags. So when she agreed to be our very first guest designer for our scrapbooking kit, I was delighted to say the least. And when she sent me photos of her layouts, I didn't know what to say. I welled up. Simply because I couldn't believe that such beautiful layouts came off of our first kit. So, let's take one more look at her gorgeous layouts and card?

----

Ujjwal, a friend whom I have never met in person. Someone who never ceases to amaze me with her kindness and creativity. When our first card kit was ready, I knew I wanted her to be our guest designer for our April Card Kit. And she proved me right with her gorgeous cards!

Do visit their blogs and leave some love, ya?

Doily flower tutorial

***If you are here for the blog hop, see this post below***

Hi all! Donna here to share with you how I created the doily flowers I used on my layout, "Love you to bits" using the April 2012 scrapbooking kit,  "Let's be friends?"

It's really simple and easy to make...
First, trace and cut a circle in any paper of your liking. My circle is approx. 3 inches, I used the inside of my double-sided tape to trace my circle. I tested first on a piece of copy paper to determine what size I want and 3inches is just perfect for what I need. (Pardon the messy cutting mat hehe)

Second, free-hand cut your circle to look like something in the image below. Again, I don't have exact measurement on the spacing but I just made sure it's kind of even.

Then, get your doily and mist. I used Tattered Angel glimmer mist in Tuscan Sun.

Fold your paper flower as seen in the image below. Just basically fold it 8x, doesn't matter where you start because this is just like a guide for the next step....this side up is the back of my paper flower.

Gather through the folds and arrange it to create your flower. Cut a small slit at the tip of the flower.

Get your misted doily and fold it as seen in the image below

Roll the tip of the folded doily and insert through the slit of the paper flower.

Turn it over and slight flatten/arrange the doily with your fingertips. Be careful with the doily as it is a bit delicate (with or without the mist). Then, you'd end up with something like this....

Embellish with button or brad... I adhered my button with Glossy Accent. Another option is thread or floss, but uhm.. I'm just too lazy to do that :D

Hope you like it! Shoot us a message if you have any queries.
Thanks and have a great day!

Handmade Circle Punch Flower Tutorial.

***If you are here for the blog hop, please see the post below**

Hello there crafters!

This is Shruti here! Hope you guys had a good weekend. Well, I sure did! :)

Anyhoo, what we have for you today is a quick and simple handmade flower using your PPS April cardmaking kit!

Tools required: Pattern paper, buttons, circle punch and glue.

Step 1:

Punch out 8 small sized circles.

Step 2:

Fold these circles into half.

Step 3:

Fold the tips of the circle like demonstrated in the picture below.

Step 4:

Again, place the circle upside down and fold it like so.. to form a cone sorta shape.

Step 5:

Repeat the step for all the other 7 circle cut outs..

Step 6:

Now stick these cones on a bigger circle like demonstrated.

Step 7:

This is how the flower should look once you stick all the eight cones.

Step 8:

Stick a button in the centre and voila! there you have a perfect handmade flower!! :) Use it as an embellishment on a card or your scrapbook page.

Do try it out!! I had super fun making it and I bet you shall too..

Promise to be back with another tutorial soon..

Love,
