It's the beginning of the month and that means, a new challenge is up here at the Pretty Paper Studio.
I love doing handmade cards and I will be sharing these projects with you plus a combination of card making and a little sewing as we go along. Don't be intimidated by the word sewing, this will only be a basic sewing stitches that you can incorporate to your projects, no intricate ones for sure.
First up is this card using Glitters, the theme challenge for the month. I used elements mostly from My Mind's Eye and papers from Amy Tangerine. One good thing of working in paper packs is that all of them works together when combined.
I did a random mix of shapes and textures, buttons, die cuts and a heart for visual interest. Then I used the pink glitter to add some additional sparkle to a happy day. See the additional strip of sentiment? It came from the small strip of paper the comes along in the perforation line of the paper. You can use those small elements too right?
For my stamped sentiment, I did some hand stitching to add some interest to a plain stamped shape.
Thanks for stopping by and we'll be seeing you again in the coming days for more inspiration.
